2018 Nominated for BA Award for House on Z street
The BA Award is a part of the BIG ARCHITECTURE festival, which will be held on April 12, 2018 in Ljubljana. The festival is organized by the Zavod Big (Revija Hiše) and is dedicated to the promotion of quality architecture exclusively from the Southeast European region. 2017 Awarded third place at the Balkan Architecture Biennale
Over 50 authors and more than 80 projects participated at the third Balkan Architecture Biennale in Belgrade. Our project Holiday Home in Murter Island is among the Grand Prix winners, where we received the third prize in built work category. 2017 Nominees for the Piranesi Award
Our Murter Holiday Home is among the Croatian candidates for the Piranesi Award that is awarded during the Piranski days of architecture in Slovenia. The project selector from Croatia is theorist Maroje Mrduljaš, who selected five local projects to compete for this prestigious architectural prize.
2017 Winners of the Drago Galic award for Murter Holiday Home
The award for best built projects in 2016 organized by the Association of Croatian Architects was held on 12 June in Zagreb, Tunel Gric. Our Murter Holiday Home was awarded the Drago Galic Award for the best achievement in the field of residential architecture last year. Read more about the project on our website.
2016 Winners of The Plan Awards for Best Future Projects
At the ceremony held on May 25, 2017 in Venice, the Wine Chateau in Slavonia won the first prize for the best project in the category of production buildings awarded by the prestigious Italian Architectural Magazine The Plan. Read more about the award and project here.
2014 Awarded The City of Zagreb Award
As one of the most influential architects in Zagreb, Tomislav Curkovic and Zoran Zidaric were awarded the City of Zagreb Award for their achievements in theoretical and practical work. Following is the official explanation of the award: 'The office of Dva Arhitekta, a tandem consisting of Tomislav Ćurković and Zoran Zidarić, has been an inevitable orientation point of Zagreb's architectural and cultural scene since its foundation. Spanning two decades of work, they succeed in promoting healthy and correct architectural changes as a basis for social representativeness. They work is versatile and achieves outstanding results for Zagreb society, culture and architecture. The two architects are continuing the Zagreb architectural tradition in its best light. Through their convincing realizations, they demonstrate good spirit of ambience and the unity of lifestyles and urban forms. They respect the client and investment, generating the "chemistry" of common effort and understanding as the key ingredient of business and architectural success. Their work is marked by a number of professional awards and acknowledgments, among them the most significant annual awards of the Association of Croatian Architects Bernardo Bernardi (1992, 1993 and 1995) and Drago Galić (2011).'
2013 Dva arhitekta held a lecture at Days of Oris in Zagreb
The 13th Days of Oris held in Vatroslav Lisinski Hall in Zagreb on 19 and 20 October were attended by prominent local and foreign architects. Dva arhitekta held a lecture in which they presented their rich architectural opus of over 20 years of active work. Among other lecturers were Juhani Pallasmaa, Nieto Sobejano, Christian Kerez, Wiel Arets and Herman Hertzberger.
