Although designed as a single-volume, this flat in the centre of Zagreb shows rich spatial dynamics. White built in closets strech along the walls of the sitting room, without any marked functional emphasis made on the principle of louvred facades. In the centre of the room is a multipurpose table-cum-cupboard, a monobloc machine as it were, the main visual sensation. Visually, this cupboard divides the kitchen from the sitting room and is at the same time a dining table, a place for the TV, a handy surface for putting things down on and an ambiental lighting fixture. Following the box-within-a-box principle, the bedroom with its en-suite is designed according to a special sensibility – as a place of small rituals.
