The project task included the wine cellar as a separate space with special climate control and other accompanying facilities: bar, tasting table, sanitary node, library shelf etc. The investor wished to use traditional materials related to wine production, so we decided to use the already familiar elements in a different way. Wall and ceiling cladding, table and bench made of oak wood (barrel) and cork (cap) with which the walls of the bar are covered. We cut wine bottle bottoms and put them into perforations on the sliding door creating the effect of 'wine' stained glass window. The client insisted on the terracotta floor in other rooms, while the gravel-covered wine cellar emphasizes the exclusivity of the place. This room is the center of the event, connected to the wine decanting bar by a hallway. Sliding panels made out of oil treated oak wood open and hide various contents, showcasing wine lists and wine library etc.
